What? Of course it's Alexander Skarsgard. He's such a creep. Yeah, if I got off a vulgar, horny, unexpectedly hard. Ewing. Okay, fine, I wanna watch it. Hello.

Welcome back to catching up with Liz and Evie.

Hello, welcome back. We're still here, you're still here. It is still Monday night. It's crazy how it keeps happening. Wednesday we'll look back and

No, these Monday nights may we'll say we did that.

We did that on a Monday. It's better than a Sunday night, I have to say. It's

Absolutely better than a Sunday night.

Like Sunday nights are not for work unless we're together and it just happens. Yeah. But even that wouldn't happen at night. That would happen anyway. Whatever. Anyway. Something good. I wanna tell you something actually. ⁓ it's I don't know if it's good, but I have I think I have like one blonde eyebrow hair. And like For whatever reason, like it keeps catching my eye whenever I look in the mirror because it like glints in the sun.

And I'm like, I should just get in there and pluck that. I have a question for you. Yeah.

Are you telling yourself it's blonde or is it just

Gray. Definitely gray. I actually I really haven't inspected it. I really do think it's just like a light a light colored hair.

So interesting. 'Cause you've always had dark, dark eyebrows.

always had dark eyebrows. I had very light hair. I've been looking at some photos of me when I was really blonde and y apparently that's a theme for you and me to talk about. But like I was doubting myself. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But I was doubting myself if I was ever like growing blonde hair out of my head. I really was. Damn. You my hair was so light. It really was. I mean

Really was. Contemplating chopping my hair lately. Really long right now.

I need a dude, I'm so for the chop. I really am. I think I I need another haircut 'cause like it's at a weird length right now and it's it's not cute.

That's the thing about chopping it. You always get to a point where it's a weird length.

But you can always put it up.

If it's long enough. Well yeah. It will be.

Well you could always put it under a hat.

⁓ yeah, true.

And y you love that. You love putting things under hats.

Yep. I sure do. Mm-hmm.

Mm-hmm. But yeah, so this eyebrow hair, it's ⁓ it's like been a constant in my life for like a week now, and I just needed to tell someone. No one knows, just you and me. Yeah. And now the listeners. So like twenty of us.

⁓ Now the listeners. Well, keep us updated if you pluck it or not.

I will, I will. Cause like then we'll know what color it was slash is. If I'm going gray, that would be swell. ⁓ give me a reason to dye or not dye my hair, you know?

Right, exactly. Gray?

⁓ my god, who cares?

You want to go gray?

I don't care. I find my hair to be mostly boring at this point. You know?

Would you think you're gonna turn gr like grey or white your hair?

Well, I know what I want. I don't know what I'll get. What do you want? I want Aunt Evie hair. That's what I want.

But and what do you think? I know. Yeah, bone white. That's a good

My Aunt Evie had very has has very hmm. Did I tell you that she called me in the middle of the night the other? Yes, at like 8 30, 9 p.m. ⁓ I was come it was literally nine because I was coming home from point fighting and I had a miss call from Aunt Evie. And our Aunt Evie lives in Vermont. And ⁓ I was like, that's weird. But I've had miss calls from Aunt Evie in the past and not been able to reply.

In the middle of the night?

Turn it and I was like, just call her back. And ⁓ so she she lives in a home now because she has Parkinson's and is has a lot of trouble ⁓ with falls and things like that. So she lives in a in a very nice home, very close to Adrian. Adrian visits her most days. ⁓ but she's like at night she I she gets fairly lonely and she likes to talk to people. So she just like calls people sometimes.

So we had a little chat. Yeah. We had a nice little chat. It was very sweet. ⁓ it made me super sad though. I feel like she was she's just like, Yeah, it's not fun. Yeah, I hate it here. Yeah. No. And it's like, that's good. Like I don't want you to lie to me. Like I don't I don't need that. But like fuck.

I know.

Like that just sucks. Like that just makes me feel like it sucks because she's so much younger than like my grandma who's like ninety-five. But like my grandma, like eight to ten years ago was really sad because all her friends were dying. And she's been like that was like a decade ago at this point when all her friends died. Like happy Monday.

Wow really sad thinking about life in the future. Like that eight, like seventies on. Seventies is still young, but like you start to see things.

Yeah. This is why we gotta make friends with people who are decades younger than us. You gotta you gotta build for the future. It's no it's sad. It's like it's the way of life. It's just like I I I can think of sadder things, however, not my friends dying. Like I don't wanna outlive you.

Yeah. It's ⁓ Yeah. ⁓ no. I know. Am my husband dying? I don't want to be by myself.

Yeah. ⁓ God. No. No. ⁓ my god. Nothing made my like seeing my grandma go on without my grandpa was horrible. It still is. Like she was a different she was a different woman with him. There I said it. Sucks. I miss her.

Just a person, you know, it's lonely. I'm I'm moving in with you and Connor, I hope you know if that ever happens.

⁓ baby. Obviously. And like that's never happening. And vice versa. ⁓ Yeah. Come on now. Yeah. Anyway, Liz, how was your week? And should I leave that in? What do you want to do?

To the OG days. ⁓ this is depressing. My week was a blur. God damn. ⁓ no, it was nice. I feel like the past two weeks were so busy that last week finally felt like okay, back to real life rhythm. ⁓ but like with that, we still have to unpack from last weekends. Like the suitcase is still out. But like we've done laundry and stuff. It's just the suitcase is still sitting out and like the house is cluttered, like we have baptism gift bags for Rio that I have to unpack.

Like I've narrowed it down to just two or three bag two bags. One bag, two bags. But anyway, just have to like organize and put things away and like this house really needs a nice deep clean. So we're back into the rhythm. Got some good like cooking meal prep last week, got it ready for this week, but like we just need to go a little harder on the extra stuff. House related. So that's where, and like, you know, you you're just like it's in your head constantly when you like a good scrub.

Yes. So that's where my head is at. ⁓ but Friday, we so Angina's anniversary is July eighth. And we I really like was doubting myself as I said that. I was like, it's July eighth, right?

Or the ninth. No, but it's eighth. It's eighth. It's mine is the ninth. We don't know. No, yes. It's ten nine. ⁓ my god. What kind of anniversary are you talking about? Yeah. This is seven eight. Mine's ten nine. Anyway.

'Cause it's seven eight. we do. Wedding. ⁓ Okay. Yeah, yours is backwards, mine is forward.

Okay. Got it.

But we had booked ⁓ a day pass for a pool like down in Red Bank. ⁓ you know Molly Pitcher Inn in Red Bank? Rings Bell, yeah. ⁓ anyway we booked a pool pass, but the day we booked it for was the week of our anniversary and it was like such shitty weather. So then we rebooked it, and of course the only available Friday we had was this past Friday. So it was like weeks out. ⁓

Yeah.

And the weather at the beginning of the week was looking so bad and we're like, do we do it? And I'm like, ⁓ I don't know, just let it it I don't know. I had a good feeling. So anyway, we drove down, had a nice pool day. Basically we're there for like one of Rio's like wake windows or whatever. Like I think he loves swimming, but also he like wants to have autonomy and crawl around and like move on his own.

So then we just like literally had him on the ground. Like and he was like crawling around under the table a little bit. We ordered food, ordered drinks. ⁓ every time I try to like breastfeed him in public, he just like tries to rip the cover off of me. This is so annoying. ⁓ but anyway, so eventually he was like over and I think he was hot too because he's wearing the long sleeve sun cover. So I don't have to put sunscreen and anyway.

Yeah.

And also he was tired. It was his nap time. So he got a little fussy at the end. But it was ultimately really nice. And it made me think, I'm like, you know what? Vacations and trips like this, like you just have to keep doing it. And it's not as enjoyable with a kid as when you don't have a kid because well, especially like a baby. I shouldn't say a kid, like a baby. Cause like it's work, you know, like you're bringing the baby in public, you're making sure like they're happy, they're fed.

A baby.

They're eating, they're playing, whatever. But it's so important that you just do it and get out and you get better at it. And it's good for everyone involved. And like I I'm look back and I'm like, you don't remember that much how hard it was. It was like, ⁓ I'm happy we did that. That was a nice thing to do. ⁓ so we did that on Friday and then Saturday was

You had a green party, I believe.

⁓ my god, that's right our yes.

Yeah. So go ahead. Every year, every year every year one of our very, very dear friends has a party and she a different color as the theme every year. ⁓ there's been what what have been the past colors?

Yeah. I wanna say white but I'm not confident was the first one. ⁓ I think that might have been the first one.

I wanna say white, yeah. Fun. It literally started the year I left.

Yeah. I d I couldn't go to the first one. I don't want to say that was white. But pink, orange, blue was last year, and then this was the fifth one.

Sounds right. Yeah.

White was the first one. So everyone you have to dress accordingly in green, but then like everything is she decorates everything, touches of green, the food. We had like a green salad, we had pesto pasta, pesto chicken. Like and it's just so well done and beautiful and she does such a good job and it's a really nice way to like just see everyone and chat. And yeah, it's always is like I'm like always so amazed. I'm like, this is just so well done.

Good job, you.

Good job you. ⁓ one of these days I'll make it.

One of these years. Yeah.

It sucks because I'll be home next week, but close. So close. My God, when do we want to record? Sorry. That that's for me. Well it's like next Thursday. Okay. So and then I'll be home the following ⁓ like Monday, Tuesday I'll be in New Jersey. Like next week, but not not for like ten more days do I come home?

I know so clearly. Next week alright. Do okay, yeah, we can make something work.

We can make something worse.

Andrew and I just booked a Revco volleyball tournament for Saturday the twenty second. I believe it's in Piscataway, but ⁓ Revco is a woman's net, like reverse coed, it stands for. So it's a woman's net and we're doing doubles, so it's just Andrew and I playing on grass. I'm so excited. But I think men have to hit behind the 10 foot line. Like they can't hit directly on the net. ⁓ and they can't block because it's a woman's net.

So if they hit, it has to be from the back. Right. Which I don't know where that is with doubles, but whatever. We'll figure it out. I'm so excited, but also.

Okay.

I have not played enough volleyball. Whatever. It'll be

Yeah. That's so fun that you guys do that.

I'm so excited.

Wait, finish your review of the Green Party though. How was it? Any memorable moments?

It was good. We brought Rio. ⁓ so we didn't stay as long as we normally would have. I was hoping he would like be fun because he took a almost two hour nap bef like right before we left he woke up. ⁓ but I think he was just catching up on sleep from the previous weekend. So like he was like definitely pretty tired by the time we left. but yeah, the greet like it was everything was decorated very nicely.

⁓ obviously we already said that. ⁓ But just like very great, I will. Just like very like sweet, good vibes, good energy. Like a nice garden party, you know?

Yeah. How many people go?

Quick question. She has two long tables set up that maybe fit like Ten like twenty people each. So maybe like forty to fifty.

Yeah, that would be my guess.

Yeah. Yeah, a good number.

⁓ You don't throw a party every year if you don't know a lot of people.

For sure. For sure.

⁓ incredible.

⁓ okay. Random, but have you seen the trailer for this new movie that's coming out called Wicker?

Wicker. I feel like I feel like maybe ⁓ I here's the thing though. I don't watch a lot of trailers right now. ⁓

Like have you seen cops of it online?

No, I haven't.

Okay, I need you we need to like somehow have you live react to this trailer because don't watch it without me. Don't you dare.

Okay, I won't, I won't. I'm I literally just looked at like the cover image of the photo and I'm already pissed off. Like I just I just like no. No. But the thing is Olivia Coleman's right there. So like I love Olivia I think Do you want me to watch it right now? I

Thing maybe.

Okay, all right, let's do this.

Is there a way where you can share your screen with me? Okay.

Yeah. Let me see. I'm gonna click on this. I don't know if like the sound will come through. I'm not exactly sure how to do that. Turn off camera. Let me see. All right. So allow Google Chrome is requesting to bypass the system private window.

Yeah, of course allow.

Allow, bitch. Also share tab audio. Okay, so you're gonna hear the audio. Hopefully like I can

If you take your h headphones out, it might come through on the actual recording. Maybe not.

I don't think so. I think it'll come through on the recording if okay, so you can see it, right?

Yeah, I can see it. Whoa.

Okay, I hear it on my laptop. Do you hear it at all?

I hear it.

What the

So then for sure, you caught yourself a lover, yeah? ⁓

⁓ okay well I love this cat and a price. ⁓ sorry. no. There's absolutely no shame in living out your remaining days alone. What's with this collar? ⁓ I want you to make me a husband. Okay. We have the chapel in the month.

He said Got it.

So sure. Hurt. Why does why does she ask him to make a husband? What's happening? Why would this happen? I am here to marry you. Huh. What's that? This is my husband. What the fuck?

Because he's the wicker man. I heard that he's as strong as a tree and just as hard.

She the actress is in the other Bennett sister, and it's so good.

You can hear that.

Whoa whoa. Whoa. You are the reason I live in. Of course it's Alexander Skarsgard. He's such a creep. Yeah, fuck off. A vulgar, horny, unexpectedly hard. Okay, fine, I wanna watch it. He has his days, I have mine, and we have our nights. We have ⁓ my god. Is someone murdered?

⁓ no.

Let's dig it. People, we're making such weird shit these days. Whoa, whoa. It broke again. You've got some sort of scheme going with the natural world, and you've Elizabeth, I am perturbed. Wait, shut up.

Isn't that insane? wanna show everyone and get a live reaction of them.

It's like once it starts, like I know where it's going now, but like still shocking. The editing on that is okay, that's a good trailer. That's a good trailer. I don't like trailers because they give away so much, but that's a good trailer. ⁓ Liz. ⁓ people

The trailer. It's a good trailer. are like online obsessed.

I mean I get it. Here's okay, here's a interesting so

If if that didn't come through at all, basically. The movie is called Wicker. Olivia Coleman's character asks Peter Bakwitch's character to make her a husband and he makes her this man out of wicker. Basically is like a wicker basket, but it's a man and it's Alexander Scarchard. And he's alive and he's her husband and it's like them fucking and again.

And he's alive, by the way. And it's like in this village of people where everyone seems to just be like chit chatting about each other, it's just like a gospel.

Like very ⁓ yeah, and like old times E.

Yeah, yeah, yeah. We're in the ye old times of wicker baskets. what and and so in the trailer also it seems they be they be fornicating quite a lot. So that's weird. Cause also when you're an older lady, it's not as ⁓ slick down there.

Especially with a wicker back.

It's painful, but it seems I mean like it seems to be good.

It looks like it was like ⁓ smooth. ⁓ his his

Yeah. Okay, Peter Dinklage.

Like who even Listen who even thought of the script?

Do you just like remember here's what happens to me sometimes, where like do you remember being like of the age where you weren't allowed to watch certain movies, but your siblings could watch them? So you had to like be upstairs. And I'd like sneak down the stairs to like kind of listen in or whatever. And like we were so protected. We were so like kept from hearing curse words and sex scenes and all those things. To now it's like.

We I read the smuttiest shit possible. And like every every TV show is Game of Thrones. Every movie is like explicit. Sometimes I'm like, wow, I forget what it's like to censor what you watch. And I do feel like

Well, haven't thought about that.

Right? That's all and I'm saying I'm going to. I'm not. But it sometimes I'm like, hold on, hold on, hold on. Just because no one is putting restrictions on you doesn't mean like you shouldn't maybe put some on yourself. I mean I do. I put restrictions on myself. There's plenty of things I don't watch. But I like I do that for things that disturb me. Like I just I don't like a lot of disturbing things and I really keep that from me.

But I don't know. It's just funny. It's just funny sometimes.

Like this this took you there.

No, not really. It just like w the reactions online take me there sometimes where I'm like, so we're all just kinda like crazed for something insane. You know what I mean?

Okay, yeah, the real online. Yeah, I I hear that.

But trust the people in this film, probably.

Part of it, yeah, agree. I think part of it too is like funny to let the online like go crazy. You know?

⁓ yeah. For sure. I mean, yeah. More and more and more. You think it can't be more, but it's always more. ⁓ studios and directors and producers cater to the internet. Like they make things so that the internet responds, right? And like we all know that. But like again, just when you think they can't do it more, they do it more. ⁓ which is interesting. But at the same time, you have a lot of people craving something that's artistic and creative and new and fresh in the in the world of multiverses and remakes and live action Disney movies.

Like people crave A twenty four films and obsession, that indie that made a ton of money. I don't know.

A twenty four. What like A twenty company? It's a studio. Okay.

Or is it a studio? It's a studio. I don't I don't think it was ever I have assumptions of it in my head that I don't really know, but it's a studio that produced only like creatively interesting things by a lot of people's standards for a while. I think they've had some misses, but like they just had like hit after hit after hit, like ⁓ like ⁓ critically speaking, they were like all of their their movies were received well.

Such as they had alt A twenty four movies ranked by Tomato Meter. Let's see. ⁓ becoming again they did Ladybird, which I loved, eighth grade, which I loved. Pillion, which has Alexander Skarsgard. Like this, like Wicker. Who's producing Wicker?

Lady Bird. I do want to watch the invite that's on here.

I do wanna watch that. Moonlight, Minari was really good, Marcel the Shell with Shoes On, The Farewell's really good, Sing Sing, The Florida Project. What else we got? Past Lives, Lizzie. If you haven't watched Past Lives, Liz, that movie, like had me on the floor sobbing. Like unbelievable. Your son, I really wanna see.

Yeah, okay. Greta Gerwig is on here. Yeah. Yeah.

Greta no Greta. Come on, come on. I meant to see Everywhere, Everything All At Once. That one. Hello. Marty Supreme. Anyway, they got a they've done a shit ton of stuff at by this point. ⁓ they've even done a few shows. But they do s they've done a lot of weird shit. Anyway, they were just kind of known as like being less of like a sellout, kind of like money grabbing studio. Where did they get this reputation?

I don't know. Is it the one that I made for myself? Like my own musings, I guess. Anyway. What was I saying? People are People are craving something sensationally different. Like and so and Wicker and if you take an idea like Wicker, but you give it to the right director and you put Olivia Coleman in there, you got a shot. But if you put that in like Netflix as like some weird one off thing.

⁓ yeah.

gonna just be some weird one off thing.

It's gonna be Netflix, people are gonna talk about it, but

Maybe. There's some weird shit on there that no one sees.

Netflix?

Yeah, for sure.

⁓ you know what was a fun show that we just watched? It's like re like stupid but fun reality show called Battle Battle Camp.

Battle camp. No way. What is this?

It was fun to watch. It's like a but like a couple, bunch of different people who are on other Netflix shows, reality shows. They go to like camp and there's like challenges and punishments and they make teams and they're like competing for two hundred and fifty dollars. And it's not like dating or whatever, it's just watching them like compete in these challenges and then there's like some They have to vote for each other to get out so there's some like ⁓ collusion that happens.

It's fun. Yeah. It was enjoyable.

Dude, that that sounds very up your alley. I I literally just finished, like an hour ago, two hours ago, Sterling Point.

I know it is. I cannot wait to watch it. I can't

I can't wait for you to watch it either. I would love to sit and just watch you react to the entire season of Sterling Point. And you know who I've been talking to about it. Celine. Of course. Unbelievable. And Amy, obviously. Like it we it is so good. Liz, I haven't watched a show that like just hit all of the right spots. Like, it's such a good teen show. The conversations, I'm like jealous I didn't write these conversations.

They're unbelievable.

Yeah. ⁓ I like really that was gonna be my thing tonight after we please we recorded to watch, but we'll say. Should I w watch it with Andrew? Would he like it? I feel like he would.

I'm sure. I don't know who w ⁓ it's I think it'll mean more to you than it means to him. It's so girl focused. Like I haven't seen a show where like they don't ⁓ God. Like actually wait, who made Sterling Point? Because if it wasn't a woman, then it was God.

⁓ and God is a woman.

God is a woman, so yeah, she's a goddess. Okay. Created by Canadian filmmaker Megan Park. Wait, why do I know who Megan Park is?

⁓ Slaygirl

She was definitely on the Disney channel.

Stop

Okay. Anyway, it was so good. And like the conversations are just like it's it it looks like you're kind of just watching kids talk to each other. Like it feels that way. It feels like everything is so lived in. And like the girls are just like it's not about boys or adults or their parents or like there's no like there's tons of drama, but none of it is like drawn out or used against each other. It's like It's so beautiful.

It just felt like such a place for women. Like, ⁓ I loved it. And there's plenty of love and boys and everything. It's beautiful. And it's Liz. It's like literally Liz. It's like a book we would want to read as kids.

I know something it looks like it was based off of a book, but it wasn't, right? Which makes it a better T V show. Yeah.

Wasn't which is good because Yes. This T V yeah, they made it so perfectly. The music's insane. Yeah. It's so

wardrobe apparently. And I've seen like pictures and stuff. The wardrobe looks insane too.

Definitely looks like Murray girls could live in this world for sure. I see Celine and Hannah in this so much. And it's very gen Z. It's like the gen Z thing I've ever seen. It's which is beautiful. It's a beautiful thing. It's a beautiful thing. That's what I did yesterday. So yesterday I like we had I had a really fun weekend. I ⁓ what did I do? I literally have my notes here is watch Sterling Park Sterling Point.

That's what I have.

Beautiful.

⁓ but we went to my friends up in Awarea and we had a little game night. It was very cutesy. ⁓ we played we played we played a game called ⁓ Killing Hitler, I think it's called. Hmm. I don't know. It's like a game of mafia or werewolves or whatever where like s one of you is Hitler and the rest of you are like there's like two fascists hiding among you and the rest of you are liberal.

Yeah, it's it's a bit of a yeah, it's a crazy ⁓ we played that. I was a fascist, I helped Hitler win. It felt it felt wrong, but ⁓ and then we played Hitster, which have you played a that game yet? It's like where you like try to put all the songs in order by the year they came out by just listening to the song. It's pretty hard, but you like it's fun and it's very low stakes.

⁓ and then we did play Catan too and I won. So

Yeah. Nice. Wow. Win win over here.

I'm a winner. I'm a winner. ⁓ but it was super focused. I know. I had a really good life over there for a second. I took all my all my learnings. ⁓ and then we ended up sleeping over there and then I spent and before we went home, we met up with one of Connor's friends at the mall. So I got to go to T J Maxx after having my ⁓ friend game night sleepover. I got T J Maxx I s you know, I got a nice little hall, and a lot of that hall was just like

⁓ Government was working for you in Qatar. Nice.

Body oils, body scrubs, just like things for like the bathroom and like ⁓ the new organizers for whatever. So I like put up this display case of all these things that just like smell good and like feel good on my skin and like look. Yeah. I just felt like dreas. I came home, I cleaned, I decluttered, I sh I like ⁓ we had hosted Grace, we'd hosted Connor's sister before Grace.

It looks really nice too.

⁓ right before that weekend. So like the room was needing to be cleaned. So I got that all down. I reassembled my office, reorganized my office, cleaned my office, cleaned the bathroom, did a f like applied all my new fancy body creams and body oils, all my things and just like luxuriated in that. And the whole time I had this show going and I was watching this show. And it was like and I was obviously stopping, pausing, watching, crying, like The whole time I had this like beautiful story of girlhood and women and like it was just like everything I could want.

It was beautiful. It literally was and then at one point Connor disappeared and I was like, ⁓ hello? Come back. And he came back with pizza. And I was like, ⁓ my god, there's pizza now. And then I got to eat pizza and drink prosecco while I shaved my legs that had been exfoliated.

Sounds like the perfect day. Wow. That's a dream. That is so nice.

Yeah, it was incredible. It was a dream. And when the by the time I finally took my actual shower to like go to bed, I had like Korean skincare to wash my face with and like moisturize with after. Blitz. I'm literally a brand new woman because like a whole layer of skin was shed. it's the best feeling.

That's the best feeling. It's like work, but it's it's not bad.

Like literally like at the end my hands like tingling. They like, Give us a break. Fine. All right. Anyway, but it was a lovely Sunday.

It's a really nice Sunday. That's like that is a fully a Sunday well spent. That is like truly

Truly. And I even got like a nice dress at TJ Maxx for like the wedding that I'm going to in a couple weeks. And it was like twenty bucks. It's like a score. yeah. So sometimes money buys happiness, guys.

Four. I think yeah, people say money doesn't buy happiness and I'm like, okay.

Like how much money are we talking

Yeah, exactly.

You know. I really do feel like I don't exfoliate enough. That's that's it's it's a new thing I've been thinking.

I ⁓ exfoliate like I have ⁓ one of those African net sponges that I use and it's rough and I'm like that's just how I exfoliate these days. Sure. Every once in a while I'll go in with a scrub but

Yeah. I I've never historically liked a body scrub, but all of a sudden I'm ready.

Yeah, it feels good after then you get some nice yeah, like a nice oil moisturizer oil.

I got a whipped body butter? Unbelievable. Unbelievable. It's it's so unbeautiful. and yeah, with a body oil on top. Like, yeah, is like everything I own greasy now? A little, a little bit.

Yeah, great. They're so nice. I know. It's so tricky with the body oil. I think what I found the trick to be is ⁓ try to put the oil on your skin only in like drier areas, so like elbows, knees, maybe like your hips, and then try not to like use your hands to rub them in if possible. What would I use I don't know, but

Like use my elbows to rub my knees.

No, you do have to use your hands, but if you're pouring the pouring the oil directly into your hands and then putting it on the body part, it's like it just stays in your hands. And like my phone gets greasy, like

Yeah. I'm afraid that my Mac is a little greasy and I don't love it. I know. It's

Mac is greasy a lot of the time. I also always have dry hands, so I'm always putting on moisturizer, which just leads to like my phone is greasy all the time. It's gross TMI.

True. No. ⁓ but anyway. Let's go. Well I have more exfoliators.

All right. Let's on s move on. Well, ⁓ it was nice out today.

⁓ my god, I just I just farted. I don't if you heard that. But I could smell it. ⁓ Quick with it. So quick with it, I might have to leave that in. I know you might. That was good. That made me laugh. For real. No, ⁓ you know what some other things are that make me feel luxurious other than exfoliation?

I'd have to. Okay, so my question for you. Yeah. Obviously you had like the best Sunday. That is definitely an i ideal Sunday. Self care, a good show, like cleaning. It's things are done, ready for the week. Days when you're in a rut And you are just not feeling like it at all, what do you do to get out of that space?

Like you're just feeling like

You're just feeling a like farts.

Fuck. It does kind of smell over here. So when I'm like feeling kind of gross and just like not only like am I feeling gross for the day, I've felt gross recently as well. It's just like sometimes we're in a bit of a rut, like you said. ⁓ I feel like my favorite things to make me feel like I'm leveling up a little bit. I'm glowing up. I'm coming out of that rut. ⁓ I feel like I'm quoting a song coming out of this stage and now I'm feeling all right, gotta gotta move on.

'Cause there's some some Yeah. So what I like to do is wear jewelry.

Mm, that's a good one.

Feel like jewelry is one of the things, like getting my nails done and also wearing my rings makes me feel alive. ⁓ putting on a little makeup. Also like getting a new something about makeup. Like I like a new eyeliner. I don't know why I wear eyeliner once in a blue moon, but like I want it to be new when I do.

Because you know what? An a a fresh new eyeliner is different than like when you get crisp. It's crisp.

And you need your eyeliner to be crisp. But yeah, like jewelry, especially like taking, like give yourself an outfit and then accessorize. That makes me feel something. That makes me feel alive. And like the scent that you wear, like a perfume, add that onto the jewelry stack. Okay. Maybe there's a little body loyal on your elbow. Maybe you add a little perfume. And also like I literally, this is what we've already touched on, but like that organizer that I got.

Need it to be cracked.

at Marshall's just like a two tiered lazy Susan, but like putting my perfume, my my body oil, my whip body butter, my my collection of perfumes, my little things that I like to have in my room. And then just like having them on this little display tower and they're ready for me. Unbelievable. And I like cleaned my dresser so it's like completely clean. It was so cluttered. The difference is crazy.

Decluttering is makes such a big difference in life.

But like yeah, jewels jewels, perfume, beautiful things nearby. I like beautiful things, Liz. And beautiful things make me feel beautiful.

As they should, because you are a beautiful thing. They they just complement your beauty.

Yeah. And like good skincare. I was gonna say good c I was gonna say art actually. Like I'm starting to really well, I've always really missed like I need just like a weird collection of art. Do you know what I mean by that? I feel like you do know that. Like some photo you found at an art fair and then

thing like for no reason it may like it may not fit your space, it may be weird, but for some reason you're drawn to it and you like it just because you like it. And like it doesn't really fit and it's a little bit out there, but you're like, I just like it.

I need to find some art. It it's important to me.

When you're in New Jersey, let's go thrifting.

Let's please go thrifting. Put that on the YouTube or

Or on the Instagram. ⁓ my god, yes. Or both.

Let's do it. ⁓ Connor recently bought a photo that's like old Old Puerto Rico. It's at like the the artwork. And it's like a photo from like the forties or something. And I'm like, there we go. There we go.

So We got when ⁓ we went to visit you guys with Rachel and JP and we went to San Juan for a night or a day, a day. We found a spot that was sort of ⁓ it was like a little shop and I believe it was a French man moved to Puerto Rico when he was really young. Or like a young man, like in his twenties, got married to a Puerto Rican woman, and then they have like they were both artists and one of them was a poet and one of them was an artist.

Like painting. And it was such a cool, like fun little shop, and it was like colorful and you know, little poems everywhere. So when we got back, Andrew and I ordered A bunch of stuff from their website. And I have one of them framed and it's supposed to be like San Juan. It's just like a hill with like all these buildings on it. And it's like very stark, like bright out there colors, which doesn't super fit anything in our house.

But I'm like, I just really like it. And yeah. It's like it's just so fun to look at. And yeah.

That means you fix it.

It it it's things like that. We're they're just interesting.

Exactly. Now imagine you have a cute effort on your jewelry and you smell good and you're looking at that painting. Do you feel a little out of your rut?

Absolutely I do. Absolutely I do. Okay, I have a few things too. Making a cup of tea. There's something healing in tea. You just if you like need to sit for a second and you're overwhelmed, make yourself a cup of tea and sit for a second and you'll feel better. ⁓ I know, me too. Cooking. I feel like this is also along the long a little along the lines of art.

Hell yeah. ⁓ Okay. God, I want tea right now.

In a way is like you're doing something with your hands. Mm-hmm. And even if it's like, I don't know, fucking eggs, like something you make, whatever, just like having your phone away and doing something and just focusing in on that one thing is

It's almost like moving your body too. Like you have to make it's you feel productive at the end.

It forces you to into like movement and yeah, productivity. But like ideally it's like you're cooking a meal, comfort food. Yes. ⁓ and I put either like getting outside or going for a drive. So like I'm like, yeah, it's not always like nice to just go outside for a walk or sit outside. It's not always the vibe. Sometimes it is, but like if the weather is bad or it's humid, whatever. But just going for a drive.

⁓ And like just getting out of your

You're comfortable.

routine a little bit, a little bit of spontaneity, see where the road takes you. And then the last one I put last thing I thought of is making a list. Just write write it down. Whatever you're thinking, whatever's on your mind, just write it. Write it down because then you want to list or a journal entry or something like that.

I love that. If you make a list, you wanna do the list.

Exactly.

And when in doubt by a new

But it's not living in your head anymore. It's living somewhere else and that's helpful.

That's very true. That's very true. That's literally without my whiteboard, I literally would never get any work done. I just wouldn't. ⁓ and I wrote so many things down on that whiteboard today and I crossed so many things off.

a great day.

It is, it is. I did so much work today. ⁓ and I feel good about that. It was a very productive Monday because I had an amazing Sunday.

Yeah. Yes.

It was. And also I have my office back and that feels

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And that feels good. I love when that works out though.

Yeah. It's good to have disruption in your routine because when you get it back it feels incredible or you've changed something and it feels better. That's kind of I do like giving up my office when people come because it literally I have to rearrange it every single time they leave. And that's great.

Yeah.

These are the facts, and I'll make the rules.

I don't make the rules. ⁓

I don't make rules. I just abide by them. And the rules are you gotta make art and you gotta make food and go on a drive. You gotta live. I do feel like going on a drive in my car right now gives me anxiety.

And you gotta live. You gotta do it. I was about to say, maybe not where you are.

It's not even the roads, it's just like my car. Yes. Wait, Liz, what is your skincare routine right now? I'm very I am curious about people's skincare routine. Like mine is very minimal.

Yeah. ⁓ I switch up my face wash a lot and right now I'm using I think it's Kopari is the brand.

With the C or a K

it's K. K-O-P-A-R-I is the brands. I've had that brand before and I like it, but I I think that's the brand I have right now in my shower. ⁓ that's my face wash, but like before that I had the Cera V just basic one. I've the yeah, I so so much. Sometimes it's like a high end one, sometimes it's the whatever Cera V. Yeah. ⁓ and then I have

Okay. I've used that.

glow recipe. It's like a BHA toner. Yeah. It is so good. I love it. Yeah, it's so nice. And it feels so good. Like it's so simple to use. So I've been using that. And then believe it or not, crunch crunch, I've been using beef tallow as my

That's nuts.

You know what? It is so good.

Yeah, no, I feel like you've mentioned it before. I mean you're not alone in that crunch crunch. ⁓ I'm sure I would like it. I don't think here would be good.

Yeah, it might it's definitely too thick for where you are, but you could use like a tiny amount.

At night or something? Do you use it in the morning or no? ⁓ it depends.

Sometimes I'll put on just like a SPF moisturizer in the morning. Yeah. ⁓ and but if I'm not like outside right or whatever right away or whatever, then I'm I'll put some on usually in the morning. But like a little bit in the morning and I'll more at night. But ⁓ I feel like my skin has been really, really good.

That's what I do. Yeah, it looks great.

The only thing is like it is very thick. So if you have oily prone skin, you will ha either have to ration it or, I don't know, maybe not use it. But I do really love it.

Yeah. I use Paula's Choice two percent BHA liquid exfoliator. ⁓ I've used that one for two, three years consistently, and it's it's awesome. It's like it's like thirty bucks for the bottle, but it's so I make it last a lot. I'm not I get really stingy with it when it's also but it's so good.

How long does the bottle last? Yeah. feel like vitamins I do that with too. Like I had ⁓ a thing of neutrophil, which is so expensive. It's great, but it's so expensive to like be consistent with it and ordering it all the time when there's other hair, skin and nail vitamins out there. Yeah. but it says like you have take four tablets. I'm like, I'm just taking two. It lasts twice as long. yeah. I'm I'm good if it

Yeah. The thing with taking vitamins, I'm like I guess I need to know what I need to take. I need to do a blood test or something. Yeah. Everyone around me is getting their their blood test done. Super common.

I think it's a common trend. There's ⁓ ⁓ I forget, but there's like something where you can get your blood drawn and gives you like your metab metabolic age. Something yeah, very popular.

Mm-hmm. I'm I'm really just like I'm not even watching my face in the morning. I'm putting on La Roche La Roche Posay ⁓ sunscreen moisturizer and it's my f it's like luxuriously soft and beautiful. I love that one. And that one's like expensive. It's like twenty five bucks and it only gets you like a month and a half maybe.

Thanks. Yeah, it's kind of expensive. I mean, worth it. Especially a good a good SPF where you live is definitely worth it. Exactly. one thing that also I've been doing, which is really good nice with the beef tallow because it is so like thick and oily is I shouldn't say oily, but sometimes like slick. ⁓ after my shower, and I always shower at night, so after my shower, I do like ⁓

It's not ⁓ You're doing like gua sha but like with your hand?

Colds. But with my hands. You do squash slash lymphatic drainage. Yeah. So you open your lymph nodes, you like massage in front of your armpits for a few seconds, and then like behind your ears for a few seconds. And then you go like I always do just ten strokes and use two fingers. You go along your chin, along your cheekbone, you get your eyebrows. And then I get under my eye, sweep out, and then like I do like the full thing and down your neck.

Draining two.

Your lymph nodes, your lymphatic system.

What does it train?

⁓ I wanna say like your kidneys process and you pee it out.

⁓ shit. Okay. Now that I can visualize the exit I will

You know what I visualize on like any anatomy course you take, ⁓ it's like your nerves are yellow, your blood cells, like your veins and arteries are red and blue, and then your lymph nodes are green and like your so it's like you have to visualize. It's just like the anatomy f figure standing like that and then all the different colors, yeah.

I do have the gua sha and I do know I've heard this before, like the things and the ⁓ I guess I just gotta add it in. I I was I was slapping myself when I put not slapping I was patting my cheeks when I was applying moisturizer because that's what some TikTok person told me to do that their like Korean grandma did and like look at the Korean skin, come on. ⁓ So I was doing that, I was padding.

I'm very into the eye cream right now as well. I very I I have a very expensive eye cream and then I have a slightly regular priced eye cream that I kinda like better.

I'm not sold on eye cream specifically.

I just you know, the eyes are the only place I really like see the wrinkles.

No, same, but like is it gonna be is what is different about an eye cream?

I don't know, Liz, but I put it on. Prince? I do. But I only but I think it's very like it's different for like a couple hours. I don't think it's like actually doing anything. ⁓ I do like also just put my regular moisturizer on, which as much as I try to get away from it, I cannot get away from ponds. Pons is ponds will literally always be my nighttime moisturizer. Yeah. And and that's that. Like

Does you see it?

I mean

My skin looks also a thick moisturizer.

It is. And I really but I sleep with A C every single night. So I feel like that's fine. And it's not that thick. It's not like heavy. It doesn't sit there. I almost wish it was a little thicker sometimes because of the A C and all that.

They do when I think of ponds, I always think of their like makeup removing Yeah, the green one. And I'm like, that is the OG makeup removing balm.

The green one? Literally I I have it and I always kinda hate buying it because it lasts for fucking ever because I only use it for makeup. But it liz it literally is the best.

⁓ no, it really is. No, all of these other brands have made like the balms or whatever where but I'm like it's it you literally just use ponds, greens and it's yeah, it's the fucking same.

Yep. And if I need like a really heavy like I almost use it as a mask, like I'm saying always, but like maybe twice this year I've used it as like a mask around like my nose and mouth area when I go to sleep and just leave it. It's very greasy because it's obviously there to you're supposed to wipe it off. Yeah. ⁓ but sometimes I've used it. And it's lovely. Pons never lets me down.

Yeah, you are a a good go to ponds person. Anything else to add to this episode?

Anyway. No, like let me just do like a quick roundup. Like we had great time with our friends. We watched a real freaky trailer and ⁓

Depending on when that comes out, we should watch it together.

I a hundred percent agree. I bring back going to movies with your friends. It's become a huge part of my life again and I love it. That is fun. And bring it back. Okay. Obviously harder to do with a kid, but ⁓ bring it back.

Noted. Go to a movie with your friends, people watch Sterling Point.

Noted. Do it. Watch Sterling Point, Liz Buy jewellery.

Buy jewelry, wear perfume, cook, drink some tea, go for a drive, get outside, list, exfoliate

Exfoliate Moisturize. This could all go on your list. Now we need to get off this so Liz can go watch drilling point. It's important to all of us.

Yeah. Yep. Can't watch tonight. We have an electrician coming tomorrow. The window is 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. so I have to clean.

My god, you're such a house owner.

Alright, I love you. Let's chat this week before Monday. Okay. Great. Have a good week. Love ya.

Okay. Great. Yeah. Bye.
